September flowers

It seems all the flowers in the garden put on their best show in September, even though the nights were already getting a little more chilly.

The bees were still busy, making the most of all the blooms on my cosmos that Willow and I planted during the first lockdown!

And the butterflies were enjoying the blackberries and ivy flowers in the hedgerows.

The gardens at the Old Sheep Farm are definitely at their best in early autumn. In contrast, there wasn't much at all flowering in early summer! I have already planted some new plants in an attempt to rectify that next year (including a million tulip bulbs....) - lets see if it works!
